Modify a storyboard to repeat or reverse

You can configure a whole storyboard to automatically repeat or reverse itself after it has reached the end of its last timeline.

Note

The results of this procedure differ from replacing an existing storyboard with a reversed version of itself, or repeating a timeline in a storyboard.

For more information, see Duplicate or reverse a storyboard and Set the loop duration.

To modify a storyboard to repeat or reverse

  1. With a storyboard open in the Objects and Timeline panel, click the name of the storyboard so that it is selected.

The Properties panel displays the properties that you can set for the whole storyboard.

  2. To configure the storyboard to repeat itself automatically after it has reached the end of its last timeline, change the RepeatBehavior property by either selecting a value from the drop-down box or typing a value. You can set the property to Forever, or to any integer value followed by an x to indicate the number of times to repeat the storyboard.

  3. To configure the storyboard to reverse itself automatically after it has reached the end of its last timeline, select the AutoReverse check box.

    Note

If you select the AutoReverse check box and set the RepeatBehavior to a value larger than 1x, the reverse action will occur before the repeat action. Also, if you set the loop duration of an individual timeline in the storyboard to a value larger than 1, then the looping of that timeline will occur before either of the actions set on the storyboard.

For more information, see Set the loop duration.
