IssuerNameRegistry Class

[Starting with the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) has been fully integrated into the .NET Framework. The abstract base class that represents a name service that returns the issuer name of a specified token.

Remarks

The issuer name is returned as a string.

Windows® Identity Foundation (WIF) provides the ConfigurationBasedIssuerNameRegistry class. This class implements an issuer name registry (service) that you can use to get started; however, the service is not recommended for production environments. For production environments, you should create a custom name service by deriving from IssuerNameRegistry.
