UniqueId.CreateUniqueId Method (String)

[Starting with the .NET Framework 4.5, Windows Identity Foundation (WIF) has been fully integrated into the .NET Framework. Creates a unique ID similar to that created by CreateNonRandomId, but instead of an underscore, the supplied prefix is used.

Parameters

  • prefix
    The prefix for the unique ID.

Return Value

The unique ID.

Thread Safety

Any public static (Shared in Visual Basic) members of this type are thread safe. Any instance members are not guaranteed to be thread safe.
