ButtonBase.OnLostMouseCapture Method

[ This article is for Windows Phone 8 developers. If you’re developing for Windows 10, see the latest documentation. ]

Provides handling for the LostMouseCapture event.

Namespace:  System.Windows.Controls.Primitives
Assembly:  System.Windows (in System.Windows.dll)

Syntax

Protected Overrides Sub OnLostMouseCapture ( _
    e As MouseEventArgs _
)
protected override void OnLostMouseCapture(
    MouseEventArgs e
)

Parameters

Remarks

This method sets the IsPressed property to false.

The OnLostMouseCapture method is called before any event handler for the LostMouseCapture event is called. This method allows derived classes to handle the LostMouseCapture event without attaching a delegate. This is the preferred technique for handling the event in a derived class.

Notes to Inheritors

If you override OnLostMouseCapture, you can prevent registered delegates from receiving events by setting the MouseButtonEventArgs..::.Handled property to true. For more information about routed events and the MouseButtonEventArgs..::.Handled property, see Events for Windows Phone 8.
