The AutoConfigBackupRoute property gets or sets the backup route for Web browsers in the default automatic configuration script.

This property is read/write.

Property value

String that specifies the backup route for Web browsers in the default automatic configuration script. If this property is set to DIRECT, the backup route passes directly to the Internet rather than through an alternate proxy server.

Error codes

These property methods return S_OK if the call is successful; otherwise, they return an error code.

Remarks

This property is read/write. Its default value is an empty string.
