Indexing Service is no longer supported as of Windows XP and is unavailable for use as of Windows 8. Instead, use Windows Search for client side search and Microsoft Search Server Express for server side search.
The IsEnumAllowed entry determines whether directory enumeration can be used to execute a query.

Remarks
The value of the IsEnumAllowed entry overrides any value set in a specific query.
Setting the value of this entry to zero reduces the vulnerability of a server to misdirected enumeration queries, since enumeration queries can be slow and can seriously affect the performance of the server.
