Using the Visual Languages
Although the process of building a provider with the Microsoft? OLE DB Simple Provider (OSP) Toolkit is generally the same in Microsoft Visual Basic?, Microsoft Visual C++?, and Microsoft Visual J++?, with the major portion of the work consisting of implementing the OSP functions, there are some implementation differences between the visual languages.
This feature will be removed in a future version of Windows. Avoid using this feature in new development work, and plan to modify applications that currently use this feature. Instead, write a fully functional OLE DB provider using the native OLE DB interfaces.
