Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)
The Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network) component provides the Bluetooth Personal Area Network service. This service is a miniport network driver that creates network connectivity between two Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth Personal Area network user interface provides a way to initiate connections to a remote Bluetooth device.
There are no services associated with this component.
This component interacts with the Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator, and with the Microsoft Bluetooth Port driver, bthport.sys. The Microsoft Bluetooth Port driver is provided by the Microsoft Wireless Transceiver for Bluetooth component.
There are no configurable settings for this component.
This component includes an INF (information) file, bthpan.inf, that supplies configuration information for the bthpan.sys driver. This INF file can be used to configure the name and description for the bthpan.sys driver. Any modifications to this INF file should be completed before you add this component to your run-time image.
The service name and description can be configured in the user interface after deployment.
