Recovery CD (Windows Embedded Standard 2009)

In some severe circumstances, such as when a run-time image is corrupted, it may be necessary to start your device from a bootable CD. Windows Embedded Standard Help topics provide the information you need to create a bootable CD and to install a new copy of the run-time image that was installed onto the device before it left the factory.

This section describes how to use Microsoft Windows Pre-installation Environment (Windows PE) and System Deployment Image (SDI) to create a recovery CD.
