To interact and communicate with a Bluetooth–enabled device, a pairing relationship must be established between Windows Embedded CE and the Bluetooth–enabled device.
A pairing relationship may be established using either of the following approaches:
- Windows Embedded CE goes into discovery mode and initiates a pairing relationship with a discovered device.
To do this using the Bluetooth Pairing Service, go to Initiating a Pairing Relationship Using the Bluetooth Pairing Service. - Windows Embedded CE goes into discoverable mode, and a Bluetooth–enabled device initiates a pairing relationship with Windows Embedded CE.
