7/8/2014

Image Builder Wizard is the fastest and easiest way to build an image. You can use Image Builder Wizard to create and build a new image, or to build a new image from an existing template.

Hardware and Software Assumptions

  • You have booted into Image Builder Wizard (IBW) on your target hardware device.
  • Your templates are located in the IBW subfolder, within the templates folder in the distribution share (DS).

To use a template to build an image in Image Builder Wizard (IBW)

  1. Start Image Builder Wizard on the target hardware device.

    Note

The Standard 7 setup process performs several verifications, which rely on the target device's date and time settings. For optimal performance, confirm that the target device is set to the correct date and time.

  2. Click Build an Image.

  3. Click I accept the license terms to accept the end-user license agreement (EULA), and then click the Next button.

  4. By default, the Use a Template option is selected in IBW.Select the template that you want to use, and then click the Next button.

  5. Select a language to install from the drop-down list. Then select a time and currency format. Then, if required, select a keyboard or input method. Then click the Next button.

  6. If required, modify the drivers and features to be installed with your image, and then click the Next button.

  7. Select a partition on which to install Windows, and then click the Next button.

  8. The installation begins and shows the Installation Progress page. After the installation is complete, your device restarts using the new Standard 7 image.
