Write Filter Support in Multiple Site Server Hierarchies

This section provides information and tips on how to work with write filters in multiple site server hierarchies. For overview information and examples of the types of hierarchies supported by Device Manager 2011, see the Multiple Site Server Installation Examples section. Remember the following tips when you work with write filters in multiple site server hierarchies:
- Create the advertisement or custom task sequence on a primary site server running Device Manager 2011.
- You can view the status of the advertisement or task sequence from any site server located above the primary site server that you used to create these processes. However, you can modify these processes only from the primary site server that you used to create them.
