Sending a Unicode SMS Message (Compact 7)

3/12/2014

You can configure the properties of a Short Message Service (SMS) message so that the message uses Unicode characters, recommended for languages such as Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. To enable SMS messages to be sent in one of those languages, an OEM may need to configure the property type for an SMS message.

By using the CHANGE_PROP_TYPE macro, you can support the use of Unicode characters in messages by setting the property type of the property tag to use the PR_SUBJECT_W constant.

For more information on configuring an SMS message to use Unicode characters, see CHANGE_PROP_TYPE.
