TrustedImageIdentifier (Standard 8 Module Reference)
Review the applicable Feature modules and any examples for the TrustedImageIdentifier setting in Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8).
This setting contains a unique string that specifies a Windows Embedded 8 Standard (Standard 8) image for which files have already been scanned. When Windows Defender performs a quick scan or a full scan, the rest of the files on the system are marked as permitted to run and do not require additional scan. Thus, setting a TrustedImageIdentifier can increase system speed.
Enter a unique identifier, such as a GUID, for this setting to bypass the default Windows Defender action.
The following table shows the modules that you can apply this setting to. In Image Configuration Editor (ICE), you can follow the corresponding path to set this setting for a module.
The following example shows how to signal Windows Defender so that it does not scan a specific set of files.
