Returns the base name for the name qualified with the namespace.

Script Syntax

strValue=oXMLDOMNode.baseName;

Script Parameters

None.

Script Return Value

String. It returns the right-hand side of a namespace qualified name. For example, it returns yyy for the element <xxx:yyy>. It always returns a non-empty string.

HRESULT get_baseName(BSTR* nameString);

C/C++ Parameters

  • nameString
    [out, retval] Right-hand side of a namespace qualified name. For example, it returns yyy for the element <xxx:yyy>. It always returns a non-empty string.

C/C++ Return Values

  • S_OK
    Value returned if successful.
  • S_FALSE
    Value returned when there is no base name.
  • E_INVALIDARG
    Value returned if nameString is Null.

OS Versions: Windows CE .NET 4.0 and later.
Header: Msxml2.h, Msxml2.idl.
