Windows EBS can be installed in businesses with up to 300 users or computers and managed by information technology administrators with varied backgrounds and experience. To install and operate Windows EBS, you should have a basic understanding of the following:
Network addressing (including IP addresses, gateways, subnets, and manual and dynamic (DHCP) address assignments)
Active Directory® Domain Services (including Active Directory user accounts, Group Policy, domains and forests, and a basic understanding of domain controllers)
E-mail (including SMTP addresses)
E-mail antivirus and anti-spam software (including its purpose and function)
Windows EBS provides documentation and online assistance to guide you through installing and configuring the Windows EBS software and to help you migrate many of your current network resources. Documentation is also provided online to help you operate and manage your Windows EBS system.
