Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1

The procedures in this section explain how to secure Web sites using IIS Manager, which allows setting permissions on Web sites, directories, and virtual directories. Files inherit permissions from directories. To set permissions on individual files, use a programmatic solution, such as Adsutil.vbs IIS Administration Utility.
