Specifies the number of partitions in the Transport Control Block table.
Partitioning the Transport Control Block table minimizes contention for table access. This is especially useful on multiprocessor systems.
- This entry does not exist in the registry by default. You can add it by using the registry editor Regedit.exe.
- Do not change the value of this entry before carefully studying the effect of different values in a test environment. When testing, do not enter a value greater than two times the number of processors on the computer.
