Install Client Service for NetWare
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
To install Client Service for NetWare
Open Network Connections.
Right-click a local area connection and then click Properties.
On the General tab, click Install.
In the Select Network Component Type dialog box, click Client, and then click Add.
In the Select Network Client dialog box, click Client Service for NetWare, and then click OK.
- Client Service for NetWare is not available on 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP.
To open Network Connections, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Network Connections.
You must be a member of the Administrators group to install Client Service for NetWare.
When you install Client Service for NetWare, it is installed for all your connections. For connections that you do not want Client Service for NetWare installed, right-click that connection, click Properties and, on either the General or Networking tab, clear the Client Services for NetWare check box.
To confirm that Client Service for NetWare is working properly, at a command prompt, type net view /network:nw. You should see a list of available NetWare servers.
