Selecting where to apply auditing entries

The Auditing Entry dialog box appears when you audit files or folders. In this dialog box, the Apply onto list displays the locations where you can apply auditing entries. How these auditing entries are applied depends on whether the Apply these auditing entries to objects and/or containers within this container only check box is selected. By default, this check box is cleared.

Click either Cleared or Selected below to see how auditing entries are applied, depending on whether this check box is cleared or selected. When this check box is:
