Configure Replication Availability On a Site Link

Applies To: Windows Server 2008

You can use this procedure to configure replication availability on a site link.

Membership in Administrators, or equivalent, is the minimum required to complete this procedure. Review details about using the appropriate accounts and group memberships at Local and Domain Default Groups (https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=83477).

  1. Open Active Directory Service Interfaces (ADSI) Edit, and then connect and bind to the configuration directory partition of an Active Directory Lightweight Directory Services (AD LDS) instance that belongs to the site link for which you want to configure replication availability. For more information, see Manage an AD LDS Instance Using ADSI Edit.

  2. In the console tree, click the configuration directory partition, double-click the sites container (CN=Sites), double-click the Inter-site Transports container (CN=Inter-site Transports), and then click the IP container (CN=IP).

  3. In the details pane, right-click the site link object (by default, CN=DEFAULTIPSITELINK) for which you want to schedule availability, and then click Schedule.

  4. In Schedule, select the block of time that you want to schedule, and then click Replication Not Available or Replication Available.

Note

By default, replication is always available on a given site link.

  1. When you are finished updating the schedule, click OK.
