Configure Wireless Network Preferences and Permissions for Computers Running Windows Vista

Applies To: Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista

You can use the procedures in this section to specify:

• The preferred order in which wireless computers running Windows Vista try to connect to wireless networks.

• Wireless networks to which wireless computers running Windows Vista are denied connections.

• Whether users can view wireless networks that are specified in the deny list.

Additionally, this section provides procedures to import and export wireless profiles by using the Windows Vista Wireless Network (IEEE 802.11) Policies.

Membership in Domain Admins, or equivalent, is the minimum requirement to complete these procedures:

• Configure Connection Preference Order for Wireless Networks

• Add Wireless Networks to the Deny List

• Prevent Users from Viewing Blocked Networks

• Import and Export Wireless Profiles
