FSRM: There should be fewer than 1000 quotas configured on the server

There are more than 1000 quotas configured on the server.

Impact

The File Server Resource Manager user interface will perform slowly.

Resolution

Use File Server Resource Manager to delete unneeded quotas or to consolidate individual quotas. If this is not possible, use command-line tools or scripts to administer quotas.

To delete unneeded quotas by using File Server Resource Manager

  1. Open File Server Resource Manager.

  2. In the console tree, expand Quota Management, and then click Quotas.

  3. For each unneeded quota, right-click the quota and click Delete.
