Play videos in Remote Web Access

When you are away from home, you can access the videos that are in the shared folders on the Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Essentials server, and then play them using the web-based Media Player.

To play videos on Remote Web Access

  1. Log on to Remote Web Access.

  2. In the Media Library, click Browse Videos.

Note

If you do not have remote media permissions, the media gadgets are not displayed on the website home page. See the person who manages the server for permission to access remote media.

  1. Click the thumbnail of the video that you want to watch, and then click Play video. The web-based Media Player opens and starts buffering the video.

  2. If the video does not start playing automatically, click the Play button.
