Find a Component, Setting, or Package in Windows SIM

Windows System Image Manager (Windows SIM) enables you to search for a component, setting, file in a distribution share, or package name by using the search feature. The following procedure describes how to use search.

To find a component, setting, or package

  1. Open Windows SIM.
  2. On the Edit menu, select Find.
    - or -
    Press CTRL+F.
    The Find dialog box appears.
  3. In the Find what field, enter the search criteria.
  4. In the Look in drop-down list box, select from the currently open Windows image and answer file, a distribution share, or Messages pane.
  5. Click Find Now.
