Parameters

Return Value

Type: System.String
The name, if it is a valid NCName.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
ArgumentNullException

name is nulla null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) or String.Empty.

XmlException

name is not a valid NCName.

Remarks

An NCName is a name that cannot contain a colon.
