SortDescription.PropertyName Property

Gets or sets the property name being used as the sorting criteria.

Syntax

Property Value

Type: System.String
The name of the property to sort by.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
InvalidOperationException

IsSealed is true.

Remarks

A SortDescription is automatically sealed when you add it to a SortDescriptionCollection. You cannot change the Direction and PropertyName values of a sealed SortDescription instance.
