Setup and run Assessments in Sovereign Clouds

If you want to add, setup and run assessments in Log Analytics Workspace created in Sovereign Cloud, please follow below steps.

Add Assessment to Sovereign Cloud Log Analytics Workspace

As of today, Services Hub doesn't support linking Sovereign Cloud Log Analytics Workspace and add assessments into it. Hence you need to reach out to Support by providing below details here https://aka.ms/ServicesHubSupport

  • Tenant ID: The Azure Active Directory Tenant ID in which Log Analytics workspace was created. This can be found in Azure Active Directory -> Properties -> Directory ID.

  • Subscription ID: The Subscription ID in which Log Analytics workspace was created. This can be found in Log Analytics Workspace Overview.

  • Resource Group Name: The Resource Group Name in which Log Analytics workspace was created. This can be found in Log Analytics Workspace Overview.

  • Region: The region in which Log Analytics workspace was created e.g., USGovVirginia. This can be found in Log Analytics Workspace Overview.

    Note: If the subscription is in one of the standard regions (USWest2, etc.) it is not a subscription in the Sovereign Cloud.

  • Log Analytics Workspace ID: This can be found in Log Analytics Workspace Overview.

  • Log Analytics Workspace Name: This can be found in Log Analytics Workspace Overview.

  • The Schedule ID of the Unified Support Contract or for Premier support contract, get the Schedule ID associated to the Axis Request.

  • Assessments to be added: Provide list of assessment names to be added to Sovereign Cloud Log Analytics Workspace

Setup and Running the Assessment

Once the assessment is available in the Sovereign Cloud Log Analytics workspace, set up and running the assessment are similar to set up and running the assessment in Azure standard regions.

View recommendations

As of today, Services Hub doesn't show data from Sovereign Cloud Log Analytics Workspace. Hence you need to log-in to Azure portal and can view the recommendations by navigating to Log Analytics Workspace summary.
