Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) for Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE) is a tool for migrating ASE databases to Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or Microsoft SQL Server 2017 on Windows and Linux (Preview) or Microsoft Azure SQL DB. SSMA for Sybase converts ASE database objects to SQL Server database objects, creates those objects in SQL Server or Azure SQL, and then migrates data from ASE to SQL Server or Azure SQL.
