To succeed, we—you as a teacher and TakeLessons as a marketplace—need to provide an awesome experience to every student. Together, we can make a positive impact on the lives of students all over the country. A lot of work goes into that mission, but it's work we believe in. Not only will you have happier paydays, but you'll be directly influencing how your students interact with the world, and we couldn't be more proud to help you. Here's how our partnership works to help us all achieve our shared goal.
Some important things to remember:
Billing & Payments: TakeLessons takes care of all student billing and payment for you! All students who come to you through TakeLessons exclusively manage lesson payments through our service, and any attempt to collect payment for these students off the TakeLessons platform will result in your profile being turned off (see section 2. Non-Circumvention in Terms of Use).
Receiving New Students: Once a new student books lessons with you, you have 48 hours to accept the student through your TakeLessons account online. You will be notified via email and text message (if you have SMS enabled) when you receive a new student, so be on the lookout!
Getting Paid: As an active TakeLessons partner, you operate as an independent contractor, not an employee, and remittance for services rendered is delivered via direct deposit for lessons taught the week prior.
Eligibility: To remain eligible to receive new students through TakeLessons, partners must be in good standing, have at least 30 minutes of availability, log in to TakeLessons.com at least once every 60 days, and have a domestic U.S. bank account and social security number for tax purposes (if needed). We reserve the right to terminate our relationship with any user of our site at any time (see Terms of Use for more details).
