VML Direction Attribute
This topic describes VML, a feature that is deprecated as of Windows Internet Explorer 9. Webpages and applications that rely on VML should be migrated to SVG or other widely supported standards.

Defines the direction of the text in the textbox. Read/write. String.

Values include:
Value | Description |
---|---|
ltr | Text is displayed left-to-right. Default. |
rtl | Text is displayed right-to-left. |
context | Indicates that the MSO-Direction-Alt tag will be written out with the value "context". |
