CM_Get_Depth function (cfgmgr32.h)

The CM_Get_Depth function is used to obtain the depth of a specified device node (devnode) within the local machine's device tree.

Syntax

  [out] PULONG  pulDepth,
  [in]  DEVINST dnDevInst,
  [in]  ULONG   ulFlags
);

Parameters

[out] pulDepth

Caller-supplied address of a location to receive a depth value, where zero represents the device tree's root node, one represents the root node's children, and so on.

[in] dnDevInst

Caller-supplied device instance handle that is bound to the local machine.

[in] ulFlags

Not used, must be zero.

Return value

If the operation succeeds, the function returns CR_SUCCESS. Otherwise, it returns one of the CR_-prefixed error codes defined in Cfgmgr32.h.
