Loading and Previewing a Project
[The feature associated with this page, DirectShow, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by MediaPlayer, IMFMediaEngine, and Audio/Video Capture in Media Foundation. Those features have been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. This topic describes how to load and preview a project file with DirectShow Editing Services (DES). It presents a sample application that loads an XML project file into an empty timeline and renders the timeline for preview. You can modify the sample application to work with any example XML project file that ships with this SDK.
