Web Standards and Application Compatibility
Web standards provide a common baseline of technologies that enable users to select a web browser without worrying about using the websites that they want and that enable web designers and developers to create a single website that everyone can use.
Standards for web browser are constantly evolving and web browsers are continuously being updated to adopt these standards. Consequently, IT professionals and developers must ensure that web applications are compatible with current and emerging web standards and browsers. This maintenance ensures that the web applications and sites are compatible with new releases of browsers and helps prevent many compatibility issues that might occur.
