Comentarios

IsReady indica si una unidad está lista. Por ejemplo, indica si un CD está en una unidad de CD o si un dispositivo de almacenamiento extraíble está listo para las operaciones de lectura y escritura. Si no prueba si una unidad está lista y no está lista, la consulta de la unidad mediante DriveInfo generará un IOException.

No confíe en IsReady para evitar detectar excepciones de otros miembros, como TotalSize, TotalFreeSpacey DriveFormat. Entre el momento en que el código comprueba IsReady y, a continuación, accede a una de las otras propiedades (incluso si el acceso se produce inmediatamente después de la comprobación), es posible que se haya desconectado una unidad o que se haya quitado un disco.
