Device Driver Package Properties

In Windows Vista and later versions of Windows, the unified device property model supports device instance properties that provide information about the driver package that is installed for a device instance. These properties are listed in this section by their corresponding property keys in the unified device property model.

The following information is provided for the device driver package properties:

  • The property key that represents the property.

  • The property-data-type identifier that indicates the data type of the property.

  • Whether a property is read-only.

  • Whether the property value is localized.

  • How to access the property.

Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, and Windows 2000 do not support these properties.

For general information about how to access the device instance properties on Windows Vista and later versions of Windows, see Accessing Device Driver Properties.
