IWMPCore3::newMedia method

The newMedia method retrieves a pointer to an IWMPMedia interface for a new media item.

Syntax

HRESULT newMedia(
  BSTR      bstrURL,
  IWMPMedia **ppMedia
);

Parameters

bstrURL

BSTR containing the URL.

ppMedia

Pointer to a pointer to an IWMPMedia interface.

Return value

The method returns an HRESULT. Possible values include, but are not limited to, those in the following table.

Return code Description
S_OK
 The method succeeded.

Remarks

The bstrURL parameter must not be an empty string or null.
