Introduction

Version 3.18124 for Power Apps Studio and Power Apps Mobile is now available in all regions. This article describes the updates, including the new features, and the fixes to existing functionality, which are included in this update. This version was first made available in preview on January 3, 2019, and completed worldwide rollout on January 9, 2019.

Canvas-app delegation of aggregate functions in Common Data Service for Apps

In canvas apps, makers can use aggregate functions to summarize data across larger sets of data in Common Data Service for Apps. Makers can delegate these calls because the local processing limit has been eliminated.

New control functionality enables advanced canvas apps

By allowing users to reliably scan barcodes, QR codes, and data matrix codes with their mobile devices a whole range of new field apps can be targeted.

Rich Text Editor and HTML view controls for canvas apps

App makers can leverage the new Rich Text Editor control in canvas apps to allow end users to style their text, include lists, and insert links. This new control gives end users of apps full control of customizing text for scenarios like email and report editing in an app.

Fixes and improvements

  • Data Table - 'No options are available' displays in Data Panel when pressing undo after reorder fields.
  • Dynamics 365 App - When a user is typing in their email address a message is showing that the email address is invalid before they are done typing.
  • Dynamics 365 App: Keyboard overlay - The keyboard covers part of the email text box on the sign in screen.
  • iOS: Date Picker - When the date picker is set to disabled and played on an iOS device, the date picker is showing a blank value.
