Parse a given string expression into an attributeMappingSource object.

Permissions

Choose the permission or permissions marked as least privileged for this API. Use a higher privileged permission or permissions only if your app requires it. To configure application provisioning or HR-driven provisioning, the calling user must also be assigned at least the Application Administrator or Cloud Application Administrator directory role.

To configure Microsoft Entra Cloud Sync, the calling user must also be assigned at least the Hybrid Identity Administrator directory role.

Request body

In the request body, provide a JSON object with the following parameters.

testInputObject expressionInputObject Test data object to evaluate expression against. Optional.
targetAttributeDefinition attributeDefinition Definition of the attribute that will be mapped to this expression. Optional.

Response

If successful, this method returns a 200 OK response code and a parseExpressionResponse object in the response body.
