Azure APIM Developer Portal: hostname not showing for Self Hosted Gateways

Hello,

As summed up in the title, when trying the APIM Developer Portal for APIs configured with self-hosted gateways, an "hostname" text field appears with no value. We would expect it to be automatically handled by the Developer Portal, or at least havinga valid default value based on the informations on the gateways.

Is there a way to achieve this? Thanks in advance

    Marco Curaba Thanks for reaching out. If an API has only SHG configured, hostname will be empty in the developer portal. If you have both managed and SHG configured for an API all the custom domain names will be listed in the drop down for hostname.

    You can have just the self-hosted gateway custom domain configured. And only that one will show. However, you need to associate managed gateway. Please note that self-hosted gateway is made for isolated scenarios, which is why developer portal is designed this way.

    Gentile Marco,

    Se per un'API è configurato solo SHG, il nome host sarà vuoto nel portale degli sviluppatori.

    Se hai gestito e configurato SHG per un'API, tutti i nomi di dominio personalizzati verranno elencati nel menu a discesa del nome host.

    È possibile configurare solo il dominio personalizzato del gateway self-hosted. E solo quello verrà mostrato. Tuttavia, è necessario associare il gateway gestito.

    Tieni presente che il gateway self-hosted è realizzato per scenari isolati, motivo per cui il portale per sviluppatori è progettato in questo modo.
