Informazioni su CoreMark

CoreMark è un benchmark che verifica la funzionalità di un microcontroller (MCU) o di un'unità di elaborazione centrale (CPU). CoreMark non dipende dal sistema, quindi funziona allo stesso modo indipendentemente dalla piattaforma (ad esempio, processore big o little endian, high-end o low-end).

I numeri di Linux sono stati calcolati eseguendo CoreMark in Ubuntu 18.04. CoreMark è stato configurato con il numero di thread impostati sul numero di CPU virtuali e la concorrenza impostata su PThreads. Il numero di iterazioni è stato rettificato in base alle prestazioni previste per fornire un runtime di almeno 20 secondi (ma in genere molto di più). Il punteggio finale rappresentava il numero di iterazioni completate, diviso per la durata del test espressa in secondi. Ogni test è stato eseguito almeno sette volte per ogni VM. Le date di esecuzione dei test sono indicate sopra. Test eseguiti su più macchine virtuali in più aree di Azure pubbliche: le macchine virtuali erano supportate alla data di esecuzione.

Compilazione ed esecuzione:

Per compilare ed eseguire il benchmark, digitare:

> make

I risultati completi sono disponibili nei file run1.log e run2.log. run1.log contiene i risultati di CoreMark. Questi sono i risultati del benchmark con i parametri delle prestazioni. run2.log contiene risultati di benchmark con parametri di convalida.

Runtime:

Per impostazione predefinita, il benchmark verrà eseguito tra 10 e 100 secondi. Per eseguire l'override, usare ITERATIONS=N

% make ITERATIONS=10

il flag precedente eseguirà il benchmark per 10 iterazioni. I risultati sono validi solo per la creazione di report se il benchmark è stato eseguito per almeno 10 secondi.

Esecuzione parallela:

Usare XCFLAGS=-DMULTITHREAD=N dove N è il numero di thread da eseguire in parallelo. Sono disponibili diverse implementazioni per l'esecuzione in più contesti.

% make XCFLAGS="-DMULTITHREAD=4 -DUSE_PTHREAD"

L'esempio precedente compilerà il benchmark per l'esecuzione su 4 core.

Consigli per ottenere risultati ottimali

  • Il benchmark deve essere eseguito per almeno 10 secondi, probabilmente più lungo nei sistemi più grandi.
  • Tutti i file di origine devono essere compilati con gli stessi flag.
  • Non modificare i file di origine diversi da core_portme* (usare make check per convalidare)
  • Sono suggerite più esecuzioni per ottenere risultati ottimali.

Copertura

È possibile che non venga visualizzata la serie di fine vita meno recente. La serie N non è indicata perché è incentrata su GPU e Coremark non misura le prestazioni della GPU. È possibile che la serie più recente non sia stata ancora sottoposta a benchmark. Le versioni precedenti di questo documento hanno citato le esecuzioni di benchmark da Ubuntu 16.04 che hanno comportato prestazioni leggermente inferiori rispetto ai benchmark correnti in esecuzione in Ubuntu 18.04.

Serie GPU

Le prestazioni della serie di macchine virtuali basate su GPU sono più comprensibili usando i benchmark appropriati per la GPU e in esecuzione su larga scala necessari per i carichi di lavoro. Azure è tra i migliori:
