Nell'esempio seguente vengono utilizzati i MinValue campi e MaxValue per verificare che un Int64 valore sia compreso nell'intervallo del tipo prima di SByte eseguire una conversione del tipo. Questa verifica impedisce un oggetto OverflowException in fase di esecuzione.
