VCDebugSettings.RemoteMachine Property

When Remote specifies remote debugging, the RemoteMachine property specifies the name of the machine that contains the program to debug.

 property System::String ^ RemoteMachine { System::String ^ get(); void set(System::String ^ value); };
 property Platform::String ^ RemoteMachine { Platform::String ^ get(); void set(Platform::String ^ value); };
[get: System.Runtime.InteropServices.DispId(2327)]
[set: System.Runtime.InteropServices.DispId(2327)]
public string RemoteMachine { get; set; }
member this.RemoteMachine : string with get, set
Public Property RemoteMachine As String

Property Value

The name of the machine that contains the program to debug.

The following example modifies the RemoteMachine property in the integrated development environment (IDE):

' add reference to Microsoft.VisualStudio.VCProjectEngine
Imports EnvDTE
Imports Microsoft.VisualStudio.VCProjectEngine
Public Module Module1
    Sub Test()
        Dim mystring As String
        Dim prj As VCProject
        Dim cfgs, tools As IVCCollection
        Dim cfg As VCConfiguration
        Dim tool As VCDebugSettings
        prj = DTE.Solution.Projects.Item(1).Object
        cfgs = prj.Configurations
        cfg = cfgs.Item(1)
        tool = cfg.DebugSettings
        tool.Remote = RemoteDebuggerType.DbgRemote
        tool.RemoteMachine = "test"
    End Sub
End Module
