標準入力ストリームから次の文字を読み取ります。Reads the next character from the standard input stream.

戻り値

入力ストリームの次の文字。または次の文字がない場合は -1。The next character from the input stream, or negative one (-1) if there are currently no more characters to be read.

注釈

Read メソッドは、入力文字を入力するときにその戻り値をブロックします。Enter キーを押すと終了します。The Read method blocks its return while you type input characters; it terminates when you press the Enter key. Enter キーを押すと、プラットフォームに依存する行の終了シーケンスが入力に追加されます (たとえば、Windows は復帰と改行のシーケンスを追加します)。Pressing Enter appends a platform-dependent line termination sequence to your input (for example, Windows appends a carriage return-linefeed sequence). 後続の Read メソッドの呼び出しでは、一度に1文字ずつ入力を取得します。Subsequent calls to the Read method retrieve your input one character at a time. 最後の文字が取得されると、Read によって再び返され、サイクルが繰り返されます。After the final character is retrieved, Read blocks its return again and the cycle repeats.

重要

ReadLine メソッド、または KeyAvailable プロパティと ReadKey メソッドは、Read メソッドを使用することをお勧めします。The ReadLine method, or the KeyAvailable property and ReadKey method are preferable to using the Read method.

次のいずれかの操作を実行しない限り、メソッドは-1 を返しません。Note that the method does not return -1 unless you perform one of the following actions:

  • Control 修飾キーを同時に押し、コンソールキー (Ctrl + Z) を押す Z と、ファイルの終わりの条件が通知されます。Simultaneously press the Control modifier key and Z console key (Ctrl+Z), which signals the end-of-file condition.

  • Windows の F6 関数キーなど、ファイルの終わりの条件を通知する同等のキーを押します。Press an equivalent key that signals the end-of-file condition, such as the F6 function key in Windows.

  • 実際のファイル終端文字を持つテキストファイルなどのソースに入力ストリームをリダイレクトします。Redirect the input stream to a source, such as a text file, that has an actual end-of-file character.
