What's the difference between Refer and Earn and my TakeLessons profile?
Refer and Earn is your personal booking profile, where you refer students you acquire through your own marketing efforts.
Your TakeLessons profile is where we (TakeLessons) will send students that we acquire through our marketing efforts.
What does it cost to use Refer and Earn?
There is no fee for students you refer through your Refer and Earn profile. These students will pay the rate listed on your TakeLessons profile and you will earn 100% of the lesson fee.
Referred students get everything--TakeLessons email support, billing, scheduling, reminders, and account access for all your students.
How do I find my Refer and Earn Profile Link?
You can find your Refer and Earn link on the left side of the Profile tab of your TakeLessons Teacher account under the Profile Link section on a desktop computer.
Or the My Info section of the Profile tab in your TakeLessons Teacher account on a mobile browser.
Can I change my Refer and Earn Link?
Yes! You can change your Refer and Earn URL through your Teacher account. Simply type a new ending for your URL in the box provided.
If the URL you are trying to save is already in use by another provider, you will be prompted to modify your input before your changes will be saved.
Do teachers retain full rights to their recruited students?
Yes! These are your personal students, and you can keep them on the TakeLessons platform for as long as you'd like, and take them off whenever you want.
Will recruited students be included in year-end tax reporting that TakeLessons does?
Yes. All earnings paid to you via the TakeLessons platform will be included in your yearly earnings statement to the IRS.
