Information Messages about Team Projects or Project Collections

The information in this article applies to:

  • Visual Studio Team Foundation Server 2010

  • Application-tier server

  • Team Foundation Server Complete Health check

  • SharePoint Products Health check

The Best Practices Analyzer tool for Team Foundation Server scans the configuration of team project collections and team projects to determine what has been provisioned for each with regard to SharePoint Products. The tool logs the information that it gathers in the tree report under the Portal integration node for each team project collection and team project. You can locate a Portal integration node by expanding Team Foundation Server Complete Health Check, expanding Team Foundation Server, expanding Team Project Collections, and expanding a named project collection or team project.

When a resource that is associated with SharePoint Products is not configured for either a team project or a project collection, one of the following messages may appear:

  • No SharePoint Site is configured for this Team Project Collection (Warning)

  • Process guidance for a Team Project is not configured (Information)

  • Team Project Collection does not have a site creation location (Information)

  • Team Project is not configured with a portal (Information)

  • The Team Project portal is not a SharePoint Web site (Information)

You do not have to take any action to resolve these messages.
