[The feature associated with this page, Media Transport Controls, is a legacy feature. It has been superseded by System Media Transport Controls. System Media Transport Controls has been optimized for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Microsoft strongly recommends that new code use System Media Transport Controls instead of Media Transport Controls, when possible. Gets an instance of the ISystemMediaTransportControls interface for the specified window.

Parameters

appWindow

The top-level app window for which the ISystemMediaTransportControls interface is retrieved.

riid

A reference to the IID of the interface to retrieve.

mediaTransportControl [out]

The top-level app window for which the ISystemMediaTransportControls interface is retrieved.

Return value

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
