Use the Microsoft Search API to search content using query templates

You can use query templates in the Microsoft Search API in Microsoft Graph to search for content based on query variables and KQL. This allows you to restrict the query scope and build your own search experience. However, query templates are supported only for SharePoint, OneDrive, or external items (site, drive, driveItem, list, listItem, and externalItem). They are not supported for message, chatMessage, event, person, bookmark, acronym or qna type.

Example

The following example shows a request that uses a query template to search for content based on a query variable and KQL.
