O exemplo de código a seguir usa TextBox, uma classe derivada, para criar um manipulador de eventos para o TextChanged evento. O código dentro do manipulador de eventos restringe os dados a números. Depois que o texto for inserido no controle, o código determinará se o texto inserido é um número. Se o texto não for um número, o código limpará o texto do controle e um MessageBox será exibido para alertar o usuário de que apenas números são aceitos. O exemplo requer que uma Boolean variável chamada flag e um TextBox controle chamado textBox1 sejam definidos fora desse método. Este exemplo demonstra como usar uma variável de sinalizador para evitar um evento em cascata no TextChanged evento.
