Devolve as informações básicas de metadados de uma função existente. As informações de metadados incluem o nome da função, a implementação da classe e os detalhes de utilização. Se a opção opcional EXTENDED for especificada, as informações básicas de metadados são devolvidas juntamente com as informações de utilização expandida.

Sintaxe

{ DESC | DESCRIBE } FUNCTION [ EXTENDED ] function_name

Parâmetros

  • function_name

    O nome de uma função existente no metastore. O nome da função pode ser opcionalmente qualificado com um nome de esquema. Se function_name for qualificada com um esquema, a função é resolvida a partir do esquema especificado pelo utilizador, caso contrário, é resolvida a partir do esquema atual.

  multiple rows and columns. Unless specified otherwise, use
  the default column name `col` for elements of the array or
  `key` and `value` for the elements of the map.
 Extended Usage:
     Examples:
       > SELECT explode(array(10, 20));
